Scope and Content In the background behind the rubbings a fireplace is visible. The rubbing to the far right depicts a portion of a mutilated cross head. Dating from the 10th centuiry, this fragment is sculpted in relief with a raised boss bearing a simple cross and the arms formed of interlace. The second rubbing from Whithorn is not identifiable within the Museum's collection but could also be a fragment from a cross head. The rubbing second from the left of the Camus's Cross depicts the right side of the cross with vine-like scroll sculpted in relief. The rubbing on the far left depicts the left side of the cross with similar sculpture.
