Scope and Content Thomson built four churches in Glasgow, three for the United Presbyterian Church to which he belonged. The only one still extant, the St Vincent Street Church (1857-9), is represented here in detail, particularly the interior. The collection also includes many views of ruins of the Caledonia Road Church (1856-7). Two unexecuted designs are represented by photographs of Thomson's original drawings.
