Scope and Content Most of Thomson's tenement blocks have been demolished, and only five are represented here. Walmer Crescent (1857-62) is the earliest, and the remaining complete Thomson tenement in Eglinton Street also dates to c. 1860. The other three date to the last years of Thomson's life, with Titwood Place, now part of Nithsdale Road, possibly executed posthomously by Thomson's partner, Turnbull .
