Description Terraces

Category All Other

Scope and Content Thomson's terraces consisted of houses for middle class residents of Glasgow's growing suburbs in the 1860s and 1870s, and the full range is represented here. His first was Moray Place in Strathbungo, into which Thomson himself moved in 1861. His last important terrace was Westbourne Terrace in Hyndland Road, begun in 1870. Millbrae Crescent was built posthumously, from a design thought to have been left by Thomson and executed by his partner, Robert Turmbull c. 1876-7.
