Description Correspondence between J Graham Callander, Angus Graham and Mrs Mary O'Malley. 1. 16 June 1925, Graham writes to Callander in order to introduce his cousin, Mrs Mary O'Malley and suggests that Callander might give her some task, perhaps that of locating carved stones in Mull. Graham is just back from Sweden and will sail to Canada on 18 June. 2. 21 June 1925, Mrs O'Malley, Bridge End, Ockham, Surrey, writes to Callander enclosing the above letter from Graham. offers to locate the Mull stones. 3. 27 June 1925, Mrs O'Malley to Callander with arrangements to meet. 4. 5 August 1925, Mrs O'Malley, Ulva by Ards, to Callander, covering letter with complete set of rubbings from Kilninian. 5. 21 August 1925, Mrs O'Malley, Central Hotel, Glasgow, to Callander, has been working in Kintyre with R G Collingwood. Sent the rest of the Mull rubbings and encloses sketch plans of graveyards and notes. Discusses identification of Dervaig stone. Rubbings in the possession of the Campbell family. 6. 26 August 1925, typewritten letter from Callander to Graham with list of 18 stones in Mull. 7. 1 Sept 1925, Mrs O'Malley, Ockham, to Callander, hopes to write up the stones. 8. 8 October 1925, Mrs O'Malley to Callander about a stone from Tobermory of which she sends a rubbing. 9. Undated, Mrs O'Malley at Crarae, Minard, to Callander, about stones at Kilinailen and Tobermory. 10. 8 Nov 1934, Mrs O'Malley, Ockham, to Callander on the subject of compiling a corpus of West Highland stones with help from the Harkness Trust. 11. 12 Nov 1934, Callander to Mrs O'Malley, with comments for the Trust. 12. 29 June 1935, Mrs O'Malley to Callander, enclosing statement for Trust, compiled with Graham's help. The submission will be sponsored by Lord Tweedsmuir.
