Print captioned:'Tombstone of Walter Innes, of Ardtannes, Inverurie, and his wife Marjorie Elphinstone, now in Inverurie Churchyard. Tradition says that when Marjorie (pronouned Mary-Orie-Orie) Elphinstone was buried, the grave-digger opened the coffin and in endeavouring to take the rings from her fingers awakened her from the trance into which she had fallen.
