Scope and Content This report (volume 2 of 2) is a 110-page document, with 16 maps, prepared by the Centre for Field Archaeology, University of Edinburgh, in August 1998, on an archaeological evaluation of the A92D Arbroath to Dundee Road Improvement. The evaluation was commissioned by Angus Council, in advance of proposed improvements to the A92 between Claypotts, Dundee, and Elliot in Arbroath. A desk-based study had been carried out the year before (CFA report no 378). A summary report (CFA no.405 - MS 5723) provides a more general introduction to the archaeology of the area; this volume presents the detailed results. 519 trenches in 30 land parcels were sampled and most features located were of post-medieval date. At least nine features or areas af archaeological interest were noted.
