Scope and Content This is a 159-page report, commissioned by the SCAPE Trust on behalf of Historic Scotland, of a study to investigate and characterise tha state of coastal erosion and the threat this poses to cultural heritage sites along part of the coast of North Uist, namely the accessible parts of the East coast from the Berneray causeway to Srom Ban, and the south side of Loch Euphort. 730 sites and monuments were rapidly analysed, 90% newly discovered. Most were related to the crofting landscape of the 18th-20th centuries. Boat noosts, jetties and slipways in the intertidal zone may be in danger of erosion. The majority of the coastline surveyed was in either the 'Eroding' or 'Eroding or Stable' cateory. (46.6km 0r 62.7 km respectively).
