(Kirkpatrick-Fleming, Cross no. 2). This fine floriated cross of 14th century type is wrought on part of a floor slab which forms part of the garden wall on the right side of the garden in front of the house. It was probably of similar dimensions to cross no. 1 (NY27SE 31.02).

Field Visit (29 August 1993)
In front of Kirkpatrick House (NY27SW 23) and incorporated at ground level towards the E end of the garden wall on the N side of the drive, there is a beautifully-executed floriate Maltese cross, which is probably a consecration cross derived from the medieval parish church of Kirkpatrick-Fleming (NY27SE 27).
