The site of a cairn during whose removal in 1865 an inhumation and a Calais Wold group battle-axe, 5 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches were found. "In 1955 the site was indicated by Miss Dunlop daughter of the farmer who removed the last traces of the cairn; and the stone axe was in the possession of Mr G Milroy, the present tenant of Fardenreoch, in accordance with the wish of the finder that it should remain on the farm." This cairn stood 250m WNW of Fardenreoch farmhouse, at the junction of the Linkumtoy Burn and the Duisk River. In 1865, when it was removed, an inhumation and a battle-axe were found.
