Archaeology Notes

NR38NE 15 3586 8801.

A kitchen midden was discovered immediately north of NR38NE 8 in 1971 during a scientific study of the area. Small-scale exploratory excavation revealed hearths and samples of charcoal have been submitted for C-14 dating.

A large grass-covered shell deposit on the edge of a sandy spur. The excavation trenches have been backfilled.
