NR36SW 20 3189 6452.
At NR 3189 6452, in open moorland, is a burnt mound 7.0m in diameter and 1.2m high, with a slight depression in the side flanking a stream. Probing through the peat mantle, indicated a content of small fire-cracked stones.

Field Visit (November 1981)
A mound (NR 318 645) is situated in heathery moorland 250m E of (Canmore ID 37756) and 600m NW of East Carrabus. Measuring 7m by 5.2m and 1.2m in height, it appears to be either a burnt mound or a robbed prehistoric burial cairn.
