Field Visit (25 November 1997)

NN81NE 45 8662 1906.

A pit-circle (EARNAP 76), comprising eight or nine elongated pits and measuring about 12m in internal diameter, is visible as a cropmark on oblique aerial photographs (RCAHMSAP 1986; CUCAP no date). It is situated on the flat-topped crest of a low ridge to the E of the pit-defined cursus (NN 81NE 44). Some 70m to the ESE of the pit-circle there is a group of about twelve pits (EARNAP 75) arranged in parallel lines, and aligned from NE to SW.
