Base-silver finger ring with narrowing and overlapping ends, ornamented with stamped dots on either side of a central ridge, from W G Grant's excavations (incomplete and unpublished) at Swandro. Probably from a habitation site. Now in the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS, Accession no: HD 748).
H Shetelig (ed.) 1954.
There seems no doubt that the above find was made in the same area as the Viking female burial (HY32NE 7) discovered in 1963, and it is suggested that there was a cemetery in the area.

Information from a telecommunication by A S Henshall, 20 July 1966.

Base-silver finger-ring, said to be from Grant's excavations at the Knowe of Swandro (HY32NE 19), but likely to originate from the same cemetery as HY32NE 37. NMAS HD 748.
