Note (18 December 2015)

The site of the former military camp which served as the domestic camp for the nearby Wat Ness radar station (HU15SE 21), lies on either side of the track leading to Thordale farm.

The camp comprised at least 13 huts, all reduced to concrete bases, including a NAAFI, Cookhouse and recreational facilities. At least two air raid shelters are still extant.
