Situated behind the Pavilion Cinema in Market Street, the former Scottish Woollen Technical College of 1908. Teaching college founded in late 19th century and supported by the local Woollen manufacturers.
The main building is built of red sandstone has a D-plan porch with pilasters and balustrade. The figure of Industry is set in the entablature above.
The main building has more recently (2005) in use by the HM Inspector of Taxes, Galashiels.
The College moved to Nether Road in 1965.
The building was demolished in advance of the construction of the new Tesco Store during 2006.
