A desk based assessment of this building was made by RCAHMS Threatened Building Survey following publicity that the hostel was being considered for sale by the Scottish Youth Hostel Association.
A request for RCAHMS to carry out a non-statutory survey of the site was made to the SYHA via e-mail.
