Poste House (Tigh an Riobaidh, literally 'rip-off' house), 18th century origin Said to have been a toll house for the Skeabost River crossing, this was certainly a drovers' inn/change house and, from 1855, a receiving house. A long, piend-roofed building, prettified with latticed glazing, red ridge tiles and porch extension, its lefthand end served as the post office from 1889-1995, with pub above.
