A letter from Mr Martin, Minister of Kilmuir, to James Gillespie, is under consideration by Lord Macdonald's Commissioners.

Memorandum concerning papers in circulation to Lord Macdonald's Commissioners initialled by John M Murray.

The charges for plans prepared by [Thomas] Thorburn, the mason, 'who is altogether incapable of making anything deserving the name of a drawing' were exhorbitant and ought not to be submitted to. 'I never saw any work so bad as the whole of that executed by Thorburn both at Kilmuir and [ ]'.

1802
