Archaeology Notes

NF74SE 10 7558 4101.

(NF 7555 4103) A low hillock excavated by Dr K A Steer in 1956 for the MoPBW. Scanty remains of a building were found possibly of a hut to be associated with the Viking house (NF74SE 5).

Information from MoPBW to OS.

Only traces of the excavation and a scatter of boulders are visible at this site.
