Field Visit (1 November 1997 - 1 November 1997)
The settlement of Alltbeithe is noted in the 1841 census and is marked on the 1st edition OS map. It consisted of 5 roofed and 2 unroofed buildings the majority of which are sited W of the burn and are within an enclosure that crosses the burn. Two of the buildings recorded in 1874 appear to be extant or remodelled. The others have either been destroyed or lie in ruins.
