Greenlawdean farm, situated north-west of the village of Greenlaw, was once part of the Marchmont estate, and comprises a mixture of arable and grazing land. A reservoir on the farm, has been created out of a much smaller mill pond.
The farm buildings date from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. In 1913, when Marchmont estate was sold, the sale particulars listed six cottages associated with the farm.
