Named Location (Nlo) (2 March 2012)

NLO: Kincraig Point [name: NT 465 995]

Elie Ness [name: NT 496 993].

Formerly entered as NT49NW 8170.

Note (2 March 2012)

(Location entered as NT 4444 9619 [N56 9.3167 W2 53.6667]). The significance of this record is unclear. It may refer to a sonar contact or (more probably) a net snag on a wreck.

UKHO chart no. 734 (1993, revised 1995) charts the feature as 'Obstns' at depth 23m in a general depth of about 25m. The seabed shelves to the S; no seabed-type is charted nearby.

The cited location falls 2.4nm SW of Elie Ness and 1.65nm SSW of Kincraig Point.
