Accessing Scotland's Past Project

Dating from the mid-eighteenth century, No 20 Bridge Street is a three-storeyed, four-bayed, harled building whose ground floor has been converted for shop premises, while the upper floors have become flats. The central two bays have round-headed windows at second-floor level, projecting into a central gablet with oversailing eaves (where the roof projects over the wall-head). These are probably nineteenth-century modifications.
