On the opposite side of a poorly drained valley from Liddle I (ND48SE 2), with a small stream at the bottom are the remains of a burnt mound, which was thought to be a cemetery because of the 'head-stones' poking out of it (structural orthostats); these were removed when the land was brought back into cultivation in the early decades of this century.
