During April 1999, RCAHMS conducted a photographic survey of the standing industrial heritage remaining in Lybster. The purpose of this survey was to enhance and augment the existing holdings of the National Monuments Record Scotland.

Former Fishery Office; earlier-mid 19th century, 2-storey 3-bay; whitewashed rubble. East facing facade with centre door flanked to left by longer ground floor windows with lying-pane glazing; 4-pane glazing to 1st floor windows; tooled margined, glazed recess with barometer to left of centre door; corniced end stacks; slate roof.
