OS (GIS) MasterMap, July 2010.
(Location cited as ND 368 501). Pultney Distillery, founded 1826 by James Henderson. A much-modernised complex, the only part of any interest being the two-storey, 3-bay ashlar office block on a triangular site.

Until recently the Pultney Distillery used Telford's Mill Lade in in the washing and cooling process. The Distillery has recently installed filter tanks and the lade is now being used for the production of whisky. The Mill Lade was created to provide a clean drinking water supply to the new town of Pultneytown in 1806. The engineer was Thomas Telford.
