Archaeology Notes

ND35SE 25 c. 36 50.

A smoother or polishing stone, shaped like a stone axe, measuring 2 11/15 inches by 1 3/8 inches by 13/15 inch, found near Wick, was presented to the Museum of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland by Major D Sutherland of Nest Bank, Wick, on 12th December 1932.

Proc Soc Antiq Scot 1933.

No further information was found regarding this stone during field investigation.
