A large standing stone of blue Caithness flag, 6ft 6ins high, 3ft broad at its base and 2ft 8ins at its apex, and 1ft 4ins thick, facing NNW-SSE.

RCAHMS 1911.

As described by the RCAHMS.

Visited by OS (N K B) 27 April 1967.

This standing stone is situated on a fence-line 15m NW of the former Ulbster School. The lichen- and moss-grown stone measures 0.9m from ENE to WSW by 0.4m in thickness and 2m in height; part of its NNW face has flaked off 0.8m above the surface of the ground.
