Tibbermuir Station was opened on 1 January 1858 by the Perth, Almond Valley and Methven Railway Company. The line was closed to regular passenger traffic on 27 September 1937 and to goods traffic on 25 January 1965.

The site of the station is occupied by a modern bungalow and sheds. The trackbed is probably preserved beneath the driveway to the bungalow.
