On the E flank of Mid Hill of Glen and lying to either side of an unnamed tributary of the Skyre Burn, there is a building, two field-banks and what may be a copper-mine, comprising a spoil tip, a lade, a collapse pit and an adit.
The building (Cree94 122) is set into the gully of the burn and measures 3.65m from E to W by 3m transversely, within faced-rubble walls 0.75m thick and 0.8m high, with an entrance in the E end. A stone platform 0.4m high and 1.3m square is built against the NW corner. Two roughly parallel banks run S from the burn, to the E and W of the building, which may mark two sides of a small field, measuring 75m from E to W by at least 50m transversely.
A short distance to the E of the building, there is a spoil tip and an exposure of copper ore in the side of the burn. A ditch that runs in an arc to the N of the burn opposite the building may be a lade to take water away from a pit, of which no sign could be found, although it may have been backfilled with bing material. What may be a collapse hole, comprising a pit with no upcast, about 6m across, was observed c.50m to the WNW of the building (NX 5402 6043), and a linear pit which may be the mouth of an adit, is dug into the hillside at NX 5405 6036 on the S edge of the small field.
