Field Visit (6 June 1994)

Ruinous houses: recorded in June 1994 during a comprehensive survey of Balmacara NTS estate. Full details are lodged with Dualchas, Skye and Lochalsh Museums Service.

Field Visit (May 1994)

The ruins of two stone built houses arranged end to end on an east-west alignment. Both houses measure 10.5 m by 4;5 m over walls 0.6 m thick. Windows and doors survive in both structures and face in a northerly direction. A very ruinous 'chicken shed' lies amongst rocks to the southwest of the western house.

Condition Survey (1998 - 1998)

These semi-ruinous structures are sited in the township of Port-an-Eorna, immediately north-west of the house known as Barleyport.
