The construction of a golf course on this farm involved removing topsoil for the tees and greens. A partial watching brief on this development revealed a group of charcoal rich post holes. One was sampled and produced pre-medieval pottery.

Watching Brief (August 1994)
An archaeological watching brief was carried out by J Wordsworth in August 1994 in advance of the construction of a golf course on Castle Heather Farm.
