HU38SW 3 c. 32 83

In the collection of J W Cursiter, Kirwall in 1885 was a polished serpentine knife 'found in North Mavin, Shetland' (Northmavine: parish name HU 3283). Of somewhat triangular form, it is 8 ins long, 4 3/4 ins broad and 5/8 in thick, sharpened on two edges, the other being rounded as if for holding in the hand.
