'slots'

G Stell 1981.

Both buildings of this farmstead (YARROWS04 291) have been removed, leaving only a grass- and weed-grown area of disturbance. The cottage, which had a cruck-framed roof, formed part of a range on the NE side of a garden, and a second building lay end-on to the NW side of the garden. Both buildings are depicted roofed on the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xxix; 1907, sheet xxix).

In a field of improved pasture 18m WNW of the site of the farmstead, there is a rectangular grass- and nettle-grown heap of limestone boulders and stones measuring 6m from NNE to SSW by 2.5m transversely and up to 0.5m in height
