Bridges of Reisgill [NAT]

Location formerly entered as ND 2415 3589.

For successor and present bridge (adjacent to S), see ND23NW 104.

(Location cited as ND 242 359). Bridge, near Lybster, c. 1815. A single-span segmental-arched rubble bridge with walled approaches, now by-passed.

Lybster Bridge was built in 1815 and is now ruinous. It is built on a curve with battered spandrels.

This bridge carries the former line of the A9 public road over the Reisgill Burn to the NW of Lybster.
