Archaeology Notes

ND23NW 18 2415 3561.

A three-apartment building approx. 40m N-S by 10m, roofed in 1871 but unroofed although still apparently surveyable (i.e. at least 0.3m high) in 1976.

OS 6" map, Caithness, 1st ed., (1871); OS 1:10,000 map, (1976)

A scatter of stones 45m by 30m in maximum extent. Not obviously from a structure and nothing is visible of the building at this location on the OS map. Possibly a destroyed field boundary.

C Batey 1982.
