Archaeology Notes

NS53NW 46 5412 3733

This works comprises a S wing of 8 bays, 3 storeys high, with a slate roof, built from yellow Ayrshire fireclay brick, with shallow, segmentally-arched windows. At the N end is a red sandstone two-storeyed office building (6 bays wide), fronting ontp Darvel Road, with a slate roof, and brick gables. Interesting features include a canted bay window centrally located at the upper floor level.
