One unroofed and seven roofed buildings are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire 1874, sheet xcix) at Duntanachan. Of these buildings, one is still roofed and three others are shown as unroofed on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map.

"A farmsteading near the E of Glen Lonan.." (Name Book 1874)
Further examination of the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire 1874, sheet xcix) by the First Edition Survey Project showed that three of the roofed buildings are long buildings, ie. in excess of 20m in length.
