Activities

Field Visit (25 April 1994)

This oval grass-covered burnt mound is situated beside an old water-course to the N of the angle of two drystone walls. It measures 11.1m from NW to SE by 9.7m transversely and 0.5m in height. There is a slight depression in the top of the mound. Mole casts across the mound revealed cracked, reddened stone and charcoal in a matrix of black soil.
