Field Visit (22 February 1994)

NX55NE 48 5759 5633

A rock-cut level, which may have been for non-ferrous metal extraction, opens out of the SW bank of the steeply incised gully of an unnamed burn draining in to the Boreland Burn. The level is at least 20m in length, 2m in height and about 1m across, and was water-filled on the date of visit.
