A rectangular building (Cree94 17), lying on the S side of a trapezoidal enclosure, is situated on a small terrace in broken ground to the S of Ardwall Deer Park. It measures 10.8m from ESE to WNW by 2.4m transversely within faced-rubble footings 0.8m in thickness and 0.2m in height. The 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Kirkcudbrightshire 1854, sheet 43) shows the building as a ruin. The enclosure bank, which is also depicted on the 1st edition map (ibid), supports large beach trees, possibly originally part of a hedge. Fragmentary field banks can be seen in amongst the gorse and broom in the vicinity of the building, especially to the S and W.
