Some stones visible on surface. Stone flagged path c. 0.3m wide (site 13) leads to possible entrance at south-east corner. Path also leads to low circular cutting c. 3m in diameter with small pebbled surface some 10m to south. Military.

J R Hunter 1984

This earthwork is situated on the NE-facing shore of Calf of Cava about a 100m SE of the lighthouse. The small embanked circular enclosure is almost certainly a machine gun emplacement or light anti-aircraft position.
