Information from Defence of Britain Project recording form, (R W Smith), 1996

A stone built type 24 pillbox is situated on the SW side overlooking the junction between the A920 and A 941 at Bridge of Burnend. The structure stands about 12m S of the road.

The pillbox measures 4.40m by 2.40m with walls about .30m thick.

The structure has six sides and four loopholes of concrete which are of the stepped recessed type. The entrance with a concrete lintel is at the rear on the NW side, measures to a height of 1.50m and is protected by a short blast wall, . The original wooden door survives on its hinges. In the interior is evidence of the use of shuttered concrete. The pillbox is now water filled.
