Archaeology Notes

NJ27SW 25 2043 7130 to 2105 7117

A concrete pillbox with stone cladding as camouflage, is situated on a small promontory about 90m NE of the Covesea Skerries Lighthouse. The pillbox measures about 12 feet by 10 feet, is six sided with five loopholes and the door, protected by a blast wall, is set to the rear.The stone cladding is starting to come off. Three benches were noted in the interior.
