NT15NE 60 1918 5973 and 1914 5970
Two grass-covered burnt mounds are situated beside an unnamed tributary of the Eastside Burn which drains the gully on the NW side of Camp Hill. The N mound (NT 1918 5973), which is C-shaped (opening out on the E), lies against the S end of a low knoll and measures 6.9m from NNE to SSW by 6m transversely and 0.4m in height. The S mound (NT 1914 5970) is oval and lies immediately to the SE of a drystone wall. It measures 8.4m from NW to SE by 7.3m transversely and 0.5m in height. Both mounds comprise densely packed cracked stone set in a matrix of black soil.
