Archaeology Notes

NT05NW 21 0121 5783

This intermediate station on the Carstairs Junction-Edinburgh line was opened on 4 October 1875, replacing an earlier station of the N. It closed to regular passenger traffic on 18 April 1966.

This railway station has been completely demolished. All traces of the site were removed during the electrification of the railway from Edinburgh to Carstairs Junction.
