Details in 1948: Output 925 tons per day, 231,250 tons per annum, stoop and room (under the urban areas of Prestwick) and longwall working (under the sea). 707 employees. 2 screens for dry coal, coal breaker and table [equipment which together allow the grading by size of coal, re-sizing of coal and removal of non-coal debris such as stone or shale]. Baum-type washer (Norton) [equipment for the wet cleaning of coal]. Canteen and baths (1934), medical services not yet available. Electricity generated on site, none from public supply. Report dated 08-08-1948.

Other Details: 4 & 5 also known as 'Glenburn'. Area workshops were based here until 1965.
