This steading incorporates a threshing and grinding barn of 1792. The barn has survived although it has been gutted and the original buildings that were attached have been demolished (these included a dwelling, kiln and kiln fire box cover or lean-to) and built over. Using OS maps it would appear that the present steading lay-out post-dates 1854 (see MS/744/25/7-10).

The steading has been out of use since the early 1980s, replaced by a new shed about 500m to the W. Parts of the steading are to be demolished. The farm is now used only to grow grain (see MS/744/25/1-6;11-12).
