The ruins of Stronachie Distillery lie to the E of an area surveyed by AOC (Scotland) Ltd as part of a pre-afforestation survey (NMRS MS 738/12, 6). A large cistern, NO00NE 17.02, was recorded within the survey area and is thought to have supplied the distillery with water.
